In a fiery 2024 presidential debate, Democratic nominee Kamala Harris firmly reminded Donald Trump that he’s running against her, not Joe Biden.

“It’s important to remind the former president you’re not running against Joe Biden, you’re running against me,” Harris said, countering Trump’s focus on Biden.

Trump’s attacks targeted Biden, despite his withdrawal from the race in July after a poor debate showing against Trump.

Harris emphasized that she represents a new generation of leadership, offering optimism and a vision for the future, unlike the negativity she claims Trump spreads.

The debate began cordially, but tensions soon flared. Trump criticized both Biden and Harris, labeling her as the worst vice president and accusing her of distancing herself from Biden.

Harris sought to differentiate herself from the former president and Biden, highlighting the need for change and a fresh perspective for the country.

When Trump discussed the Russia-Ukraine war, claiming he would end it if elected, Harris fired back, accusing him of being weak on Putin and suggesting he would surrender Ukraine to Russia.

Trump also accused Harris of being a “Marxist,” a claim she laughed off.

Harris voiced support for a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine, while Trump criticized the Democrats, claiming they “hate Israel.”

Harris, now leading the Democratic ticket after Biden stepped aside, would become the first woman president if elected in November.

Recent polls show a close race between Harris and Trump, with the Democratic nominee holding a slight lead.
