State Congress chief K Sudhakaran visited party national president Mallikarjun Kharge at Arya Vaidya Sala (AVS) Ayurveda Hospital in Kottakkal on Sunday, where Kharge is undergoing treatment. Sudhakaran spent approximately 15 minutes with Kharge, accompanied by KPCC political affairs committee member M Liju, vice-president V P Sajeendran, general secretary Alipatta Jameela, and DCC president V S Joy. Ponnani MP Abdussamad Samadani also visited Kharge earlier in the morning. AVS managing trustee and chief physician P M Varier was present during these visits.
Kharge arrived at AVS last Friday with Congress leaders K C Venugopal, M K Raghavan, and A P Anil Kumar. AVS officials mentioned that Kharge would spend at least two weeks at the hospital for treatment but did not disclose further details.
Last year, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi underwent a one-week-long Ayurvedic treatment at AVS, which reportedly alleviated the strain on his body, particularly on his legs, following the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
