Malik Obama, the half-brother of former U.S. President Barack Obama, has declared his intention to vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Malik Obama, Barack Obama’s half-brother, endorses Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election, citing his directness and campaign slogan.

This declaration marks a continuation of Malik Obama’s support for Trump, contrasting sharply with the Democratic candidates that his half-brother, Barack Obama, endorsed in the past elections, including Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton.

In an interview with The New York Post, Malik Obama expressed his admiration for Trump, citing the former president’s direct communication style. “Make America Great Again is a great slogan,” Malik said, adding that he would like to meet Trump personally.

Malik Obama’s relationship with his half-brother has been strained in recent years. He has openly criticized Barack Obama, calling him a “deep disappointment” and blaming Hillary Clinton for his departure from the Democratic Party.

Previously, Malik Obama was a notable supporter of the Trump campaign, even appearing as a guest in 2016. He reaffirmed his commitment to Trump, stating, “I’m 110% still with Trump.”

An accountant by profession, Malik Obama was notably involved in Barack Obama’s life events, serving as the best man at his wedding to Michelle Robinson in 1992 and visiting the White House during his presidency. However, their relationship soured after Malik attempted to launch a charity under his half-brother’s name but faced issues with registration and tax-exempt status.

Further complicating their relationship, Malik Obama has endorsed conspiracy theories, including the false claim that Barack Obama was not born in the U.S. He once shared a fake birth certificate image, further straining their bond.

Malik Obama has also been vocal about his conservative views on social issues, such as same-sex marriage and abortion. Recently, he praised Trump’s proposal to fund free IVF treatments, reflecting his alignment with Trump’s policies and rhetoric.

This endorsement of Donald Trump by Malik Obama underscores the complex and often contentious nature of political affiliations within families and highlights the divergent paths that public figures can take.
